Police on lookout for man who robbed Rochester bank

ROCHESTER - Police are on the lookout today for a man who robbed a Rochester bank Friday afternoon.

According to police, the man walked into the Northeast Credit Union on Columbus Ave, handed the teller a note demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No weapon was shown or mentioned. The suspect left through the Old Dover Road entrance, the same door he'd used to enter.

He then ran from the scene in a southerly direction on foot.

Officers responded setting up a perimeter around the scene and searching the area after receiving an initial description.

A State Police K-9 unit performed a track from the scene to the parking lot of 25 Old Dover Road where the scent was lost.

There were no injuries reported during the incident, which occurred around 3:45 p.m.

The suspect is described as about 5'10"-5'11" with a medium to slight build and bald or very closely cut hair. He was last seen wearing a light grey Nike shirt, unknown color pants and shoes.

At this time the crime remains under investigation by the Detective Bureau of the Rochester Police Department.
