Police on lookout for suspect in fatal hit-and-run

SOMERSWORTH - An unidentified woman has died as a result of a hit-and-run accident in Somersworth on Saturday night.

The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m. at the intersection of High Street and Bartlett Avenue.

The roads were closed for a period of time to allow the Strafford County Regional Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team and the Somersworth Police time to process the scene for evidence.

An autopsy on the woman is scheduled for Monday.

The Somersworth Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the vehicle and driver of the suspect vehicle, believed to be a light colored sedan that will have front end damage as a result of the crash.
