ROCHESTER - Police continue to look for help from the public in their search for the individual or individuals who threw what's being referred to as an acid substance onto a city car dealership's inventory on Thursday.

According to the Rochester Police Facebook page, the vandalism occurred at night when a white sedan drove near several cars on the lot of First City Cars on Milton Road.

It's been estimated by police that several thousands of dollars worth of damage may have been done, which could result in felony charges of criminal mischief for anyone arrested in the case.

The suspect is said to have thrown something onto dealership stock from inside the suspect vehicle.

The acidic substance ate away some of the paint from some of the vehicles.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 330-7128.

There is a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest. People who want to remain anonymous can also call the department's tipster line at 335-6500.
