MILTON - An adult-only (21 and over) event designed to increase awareness and promote early detection and intervention of teenage alcohol and drug use is scheduled for next Thursday, May 26, in the Nute High School cafeteria.

Melissa Fernald of Sinfonia Family Services of New Hampshire will lead the discussion during a program titled "High and Seek."

The highlight of the presentation is a staged teenage bedroom through which more than 80 indicators of high risk behaviors of drug use in teens will be revealed. The presentation reviews the latest drug and alcohol trends and provides an overview of slang terms and psychoeducation surrounding addiction.

There will also be a discussion on techniques for effectively communicating with teens

The program runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6.
