ROCHESTER - Raymond F. Roy, 79, of Wakefield Street in Rochester died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at his home. Born December 3, 1936, son of Joseph and Rita (Mooney) Roy.
Raymond was a shoe worker for many years at Sam Smith Shoe. Ray loved spending time with family. He loved playing bingo with his late wife Doris. He enjoyed boating and car shows with his son. He was a kind soul who always had patience and tolerance for life and everyone he met. He will be missed.
Raymond is predeceased by his wife Doris (Davis) Roy, son Raymond Roy Jr., three siblings Richard, Dorothy and Wallace Roy.
He is survived by his son Paul Roy and his wife Donna of Dover, daughter Kathleen Roy of Rochester, five siblings Barbara McCoole of Dover, Catherine Brown and her husband Edger of Madbury, Rita Mick and her husband Harvey of Dover, Sharon Wentworth and her husband Mark of Dover, Robert Roy and his wife Renee of Porter, Texas, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
