ROCHESTER - Police responding to a report of possible drug activity at the Collonade Apartments on Saturday arrested a Rochester man on drug charges as well as falsifying physical evidence and resisting arrest.

The arrest unfolded after Rochester Police were called to the apartment complex' parking lot at 100 Rochester Hill Road for a report of an individual inside a Cadillac passing items out of the window to various individuals.

The caller into dispatch said it looked suspicious and was an ongoing issue.

When officers arrived they made contact with Adam Freeman, a passenger in the vehicle. Freeman "appeared to be under the influence and at one point pulled a baggie out of his pocket which appeared to be heroin," Rochester Police Capt. Jason Thomas said today, referring to a police report.

Thomas said when officers went to arrest him, Freeman resisted and kept trying to pull away while trying to hide the baggie.

Once in custody, a search incident to his arrest revealed more drugs in his possession.

Adam was also out on bail for an April 8 arrest and had two bench warrants against him.

He is currently being held on $2,500 cash bail pending an arraignment later today.
