When it comes to style alfresco dining, the Revolution Taproom and Grill is definitely in the catbird's seat with its comfy seating on Factory Court, but everyone knows it takes more than seating to get a customer to come back to the table a second time.
And we will be back, for sure.
First of all let's talk about presentation, which this restaurant does impeccably, from the mini cast iron frying pan that carried our Loaded Frites to the little pail that held the delicious french fries that came with our chicken sandwich, The Rooster.
First, the Loaded Frites, a heavenly conglomeration of golden brown french fries, Vermont cheddar, bacon crumbs, scallions, sour cream, brown gravy and Heinz.
This gooey extravaganza is a sumptuous blend of the above and creates an instant addiction. Notably, no single ingredient dominates the palate with Loaded Frites; it's rather a singular taste in which each ingredient complements the others to the glory of your taste buds.
The Rooster comes cockily presented with toasted oversize potato bun inside which are a large slab of grilled or fried chicken, spicy honey mustard, lettuce, tomato, a thick slice of red onion and Applewood smoke bacon.
The sandwich looks like it was put together by a construction crew for a construction worker's appetite. It takes no prisoners and asks no quarter.
