ROCHESTER - Rita McGilvray, 82, died on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Wentworth Douglass Hospital following a period of failing health. Born March 8, 1934, in Waltham, Mass., she was the daughter of Moise and Evelyn (LeBlanc) Doucet.
Rita was a homemaker who loved cooking, playing bingo, and was an avid Boston Bruins and Red Sox fan.
She was a former Vice President of the Rochester Youth Hockey Boosters, a lifetime member of the RAA, and could often be found in the snack bar at the Rochester Arena.
Members of her family include her husband of 60 years Raymond McGilvray of Rochester, N.H.; her children Brian McGilvray and wife Amy of Wyoming, Mich.; Glenn McGilvray and wife Lisa of New Durham, N.H.; Gary McGilvray and wife Robin of Milton, N.H.; and Cheryl Robicheau and husband Lance of Rochester, N.H.; her grandchildren Molly, Meaghan, Matthew, Joshua, D.J., Jesse, and Paige, her great grandchildren Maddyn, Audrey, and Joseph, her sister Irene Belcher of Waltham, Mass.; her very close niece and goddaughter Christine Belcher as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Arthur Doucet.
