ROCHESTER - Robert Bruce McGuire died unexpectedly on Oct. 16, 2014, at his home in Rochester. He was born Feb. 20, 1966, a son of Cherie' and Richard McGuire of Lebanon, Maine, and Somersworth. Rob graduated from Somersworth High School, then served in the Army from 1984-85. He was stationed in Maine then Wiesbaden Germany where his father had also served.

Rob loved his family, his friends, his dog Blackie, fishing, and all of his New England sports teams. He was an avid fan. He loved to cook and spent most of his working years doing just that. In his spare time he umpired Little League baseball and fished whenever and wherever he could.

He is survived by his mother Cherie' and stepfather Alan Shover, his father Richard and stepmother Leslie McGuire, his son Aaron, his brother Eric McGuire and wife Kim, sisters Kelley-Anne McGuire and Kate Faletra and husband Mark, stepsister Trisha Sprague, stepbrother Shawn Desrosiers and wife Tammy, stepsister Samantha Shover, stepbrother Matt Shover; nieces Abbey Faletra, Reagan McGuire, Emily Sprague, and Madison and Shelbey Desrosiers; nephews Jackson Faletra, Evan McGuire, Jake McGuire, Reece and Chase Sprague. He is also survived by his dearly loved Aunts Jeanne Gendreau & Susanne Reynolds and his Uncle Bill Doucette from his mother's family and two aunts and two uncles from his father's family, as well as many cousins from both. Rob is also survived by his longtime friend Joanne Crawford. He will be dearly missed.
