MIDDLETON - Robert E. Chabot, 98, of Ridge Road in Middleton, died peacefully at home on Friday, November 10, 2017. Born February 24, 1919 in Newburyport, Mass., son of Robert E. Chabot, Sr. and Lucy M. (Cates) Chabot, he was raised in Haverhill, Mass., a graduate of Haverhill High School and a graduate of Essex Agricultural College. He resided in Middleton for seven years, having come from Farmington and Rochester.
A Veteran of the Navy, he was retired from civil service in the Air Force Aeronautical Space Program.
Robert enjoyed carpentry, having built two homes, also gardening and playing games.
Widower of the late Eloise M. (Smith) Chabot and Gertrude M. (Hibbert) Chabot, he is survived by two daughters Bonnie L. Gill and A. Joan Chabot; one granddaughter Lori J. Park; two great-grandchildren Lauren and husband Dr. Anand Shah, Kelsey T. Park; a sister Evelyn Cookson; a nephew Dale and wife Debbie Robinson. Predeceased by a brother William Chabot and sister Margaret Robinson.
