Robert Grovenstein ... WWII vet; former Path Lab tech

ROCHESTER - Robert P. Grovenstein, 95, died on Monday, May 9, 2016, at the Dover Rehabilitation and Living Center following a period of failing health.
Born March 18, 1921, in Sanford, Fla., he was the son of Robert M. and Esther (Purdon) Grovenstein.
Mr. Grovenstein served in the Navy during WWII. He later worked for many years as a Medical Technologist for Path Lab Inc.
He was an Emeritus Member of the Massachusetts Association of Medical Technologists, the NH Society of Protection of Forests, and the Sierra Club.
Members of his family include his three children Robert M. Grovenstein and wife Karen of Stoddard, N.H.; Mary Patch and husband Robert of Lebanon, Maine; and Jane Crandall of Rochester, N.H.; his grandchildren Dennis, Joseph, Tammy, Kerry, Theresa, Bobby, Howard, and Tammy, as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Foley) Grovenstein in 1997.
