OSSIPEE - A Rochester man who crashed his car on Route 171 on Monday was arrested on a charge of driving after suspension and on a previous domestic violence warrant from Franklin.
Police say Robert Rose, 33, of 99 Trinity Circle, Rochester, was driving a 1998 Mercedes E-Class sedan around 10:45 a.m. when he jumped a guardrail and rolled the car onto its driver's side at Donovan Lane.
Ossipee Police Sgt. Robert King said that an additional charge is likely based on suspicion that Rose was distracted by his phone.

Rose went off the road on a downhill curve and barely missed ending up in the Beech River, police said.

Rose was not injured in the accident.
Carroll County jail booking personnel today said Rose was no longer at the jail.

Details from the Franklin arrest were not immediately available.
