DOVER, N.H. - A city man has been indicted in the kidnap and assault of a woman in Rochester in July.

Joshua Pino, 30, of 29 Lafayette St., Rochester, stands charged with felony kidnapping and second-degree assault in the July 23 incident.

Court documents alleged Pino strangled the woman and then forcibly confined her with the purpose to terrorize and did not voluntarily release her without serious injury.

Pino faces up to 22 years in state prison if convicted on both charges.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down on Oct. 15 and released on Tuesday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury has found sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.
