Rochester motorcyclist hurt in Chestnut Hill Rd. crash

ROCHESTER - A Rochester motorcyclist was injured early today when his Harley Davidson left the roadway in the area of Chestnut Hill, Governors and Cross roads and wound up in a culvert.

Police say when they arrived at the accident scene around 1:20 a.m. they found Jeremy Brownell, 37, of Rochester, lying on the ground near his

2017 Harley Davidson FLHX Street Glide, which was in the culvert. Brownell sustained obvious injuries that didn't appear to be life threatening, and he was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital.

The motorcycle was towed from the scene.

Preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling north on Chestnut Hill Road when it crossed the center line, went onto the dirt shoulder of the southbound side of the road and came to rest in the culvert.

The crash remains under investigation.
