ROCHESTER - A Rochester motorcyclist was injured Saturday afternoon when he collided with an SUV at the intersection of Milton and Cross roads.

The accident occurred a little after 4 p.m. when a 2006 Nissan X-Terra driven by a minor attempting to make a left turn onto Milton Road from Cross Road collided with the bike, a 1998 Harley Davidson FXD Dyna Super Glide traveling south on Milton Road.

The Harley's rider, Jay Mouncey, 62, of Rochester, was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as minor injuries.

Traffic had to be rerouted for about 45 minutes while crews cleared the scene.

The Nissan and motorcycle were both towed due to damage sustained in the accident, which is under investigation.
