Rochester Night Out redux set for Aug. 26

ROCHESTER - Rochester's National Night Out was canceled earlier this summer due to severe weather, so they are holding another - "Rochester's Night Out- Take 2" - on Aug. 26 from 7:30-10:30 p.m. on the Rochester's Commons.

Rochester's Night Out is part of a national celebration held nationwide to promote crime prevention and substance free community programming. This rescheduled event will feature over 20 local organizations and businesses, local food vendors, back to school supplies, live music, touch a safety vehicle for the young ones and a free movie night, featuring "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" in honor of back to school.

The local sponsor for the free movie is Guyer Travel, which offered the last free movie night in the Commons, as part of the original Rochester's National Night Out.
