Rochester still county hot spot with 89 cases; PCR positivity rate continues climb

DHHS announced 514 new positive test results for COVID-19, for a daily PCR test positivity rate of 5.5 percent, seven times what it averaged the first week DHHS began including it on its daily update on Oct. 5.

The new cases announced on Monday also included many of those tested Saturday and Sunday.

Of the newly identified cases there are 50 minors and 26 from Strafford County.

There are currently 160 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19.

DHHS announced one additional death related to COVID-19, a man over 60.

Meanwhile, state DHHS officials have identified an outbreak of COVID-19 that may have exposed patrons and staff at Stumble Inn Bar and Grill, located at 20 Rockingham Road, Londonderry. The potential exposures occurred between Nov. 11 and Nov. 23. So far DHHS has identified at least 11 cases of COVID-19 associated with this outbreak. The establishment is temporarily closed.

Any individuals who visited Stumble Inn Bar and Grill between those dates may have been exposed to COVID-19 and should seek testing. DHHS has already conducted a contact investigation and notified known close contacts directly, but officials are urging those who may have been at the location during those days to also get tested.

COVID-19 can present with a wide range of symptoms including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, runny nose, nasal congestion, sore throat, fatigue, headache, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of taste or smell. Any person who develops new symptoms should stay home, limit their contact with others, immediately contact their healthcare provider and get tested for COVID-19. Guidance for self-quarantine is available at: https://www.dhhs.nh.gov/dphs/cdcs/covid19/documents/self-quarantine-covid.pdf.

Whether anyone is experiencing symptoms or not, multiple testing options throughout the State are available to potentially exposed individuals. For persons without health insurance or a primary care provider, testing is available and can be scheduled by calling (603) 271-5980.
