Rochester woman nabbed for second DWI

ROCHESTER - A Rochester woman was arrested for drunken driving on Wednesday after her car veered off Haven Hill Road and into woods.

Police say Kristy J. Huppe, 37, of 7 Cleo Circle was headed westbound when the 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee she was driving left the roadway, traveled over the westbound shoulder and crashed.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident, according to Rochester Police, who got the initial call around 1:15 p.m.

Huppe was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries. She was later charged with DWI second offense, a Class A misdemeanor punishable by up to a year in jail.

Huppe was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail pending her arraignment next month in Rochester District Court.
