The Rochester Veterans Council is planning to host the city's first post-pandemic Memorial Day Parade on May 29.

The Parade will start at Holy Rosary Church on North Main Street at 9:30 a.m. and march to the Cocheco River Bridge for a brief stop to conduct the Wreath Memorial Service remembering those sailors who lost their lives at sea.

Following the service the parade will continue down North Main Street to South Main Street and conclude at the Rochester Common, where ceremonies will continue. The Memorial Day weekend will again have its annual Field of Honor event, hosted by Vouchers For Veterans.

For anyone looking to participate in the parade, there is no entry fee. However, all entrants must submit an application to be included in the lineup. If you are interested in participating, email rochestermemorialdayparade@gmail.com.
