MILTON MILLS - Roger B. Davis, of Milton Mills, died at Frisbie Memorial Hospital on Saturday, Nov.29. He had experienced declining health over the last 3 years. He was 81 years old.

Roger was born in Rochester to Daniel and Helen (Colby) Davis on November 7, 1933. He graduated from Spaulding High School and joined the Navy in 1951. He later worked as a Merchant Marine from 1957 until his retirement in 1996. Upon retiring, Roger owned, trained, and raced horses at Scarborough Downs and New England (Rockingham) Raceway, as well as the local fair circuit. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Farmington and Province Lake. Roger is survived by one daughter, Roxane Weymouth, of Milton, one granddaughter, Amy Martin, and two great granddaughters, Mallory and Julia. He is also survived by one sister, Cheryl and her husband Doug Joy, of Union; one brother, Daniel Davis, of Sanbornville; one sister-in-law, Janet Davis, also of Sanbornville, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother, Bryan Davis; and three nephews. He also leaves behind two special friends, Ralph and Ella Corr.
