Roger Galuska ... ran pottery business

ROCHESTER - Roger Galuska of Rochester died on Tuesday, August, 30, 2016, as he had lived, full of energy and zest for life. Born in Norwich, Conn., in 1949, he was a resident of Jewett City, Conn., until he left college.
He worked as a journalist for many years at the Danbury News-Times, San Francisco Chronicle and Boston Globe. He discovered a passion for making pottery and, after giving out so many mugs and bowls that his family and friends had no place left to put them, he started his own business, Rock Garden Pottery, which he operated until his death. Apart from work and friends and relatives, he was a devoted advocate for the arts and nature. He shared his love for making pottery with many others, and taught pottery making classes at Marshwood High School.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Leon Galuska of Jewett City, and is survived by his sister, Janet Caddle and her husband William as well as a niece, Mary Caddle and her family, and a nephew, John Caddle and his family.
