Another winter wallop is headed this way, with gusty winds and accumulations of both snow and ice possible.
A winter storm watch is already in effect for southwest Maine and the Northern Seacoast, where snow is expected to begin Wednesday afternoon with flurries around 1 p.m. before turning to heavy snow from 7 p.m. till the early morning hours on Thursday. The storm winds down later in the day with around six inches on the ground.
With trees in the area already heavily laden with heavy, wet snow, it's possible winds gusting to 35 mph and a predicted accumulation of a tenth of an inch of ice could lead to widespread power outages.
Snow accumulations during the storm will run around one to two inches an hour, according to Accuweather meteorologists.
Both the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes could be affected.
