Seacoast chambers host webinar on Wayfair Decision impact

The Seacoast Chamber Alliance will host a virtual webinar on "Understanding the Impact of the Wayfair Decision on NH Businesses" on Jan. 12 from 10:30 a.m.-Noon.

The program will feature special guests from Baker Newman Noyes, Merrill Barter, Managing Director, and Leanne Scott, Senior Manager, as well as the Michele Cota, Special Assistant for Policies and Projects, with the Office of U.S Senator Jeanne Shaheen. Items to be discussed inclde the Wayfair ruling, federal activities and efforts related to the Wayfair decision, how it impacts your business and what you should be doing now.

The program will cover the following points:

· Sales/use tax basics;

· General requirements adopted by various states since the Wayfair ruling;

· What to consider before registering your business in a new state;

· The obstacles faced by businesses that are working to comply with the states' new laws; and, best practices to consider in terms of business compliance efforts.
