Selectman's seat, three budget board slots up for grabs

MILTON - Milton residents will be able to run for several elected positions this March, including one selectman's slot and three budget committee positions.

All candidates will have to file a Declaration of Candidacy with the Town Clerk during the filing period for town positions. Declaration of Candidacy forms are available at the Town Clerk's Office, with the filing period running Jan. 25-Feb. 3.

All candidates who file on the last day of the filing period must do so in person before the Town Clerk between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Town Election are held March 14 at the Milton Assembly of God Church on White Mountain Highway.

Also up for grabs are Cemetery Trustee, 1 for 3 years; Fire Chief, 1 for 1; Library Trustees, 1 for 1 year, 1 for 3 years; Planning Board, 2 for 3 years; Supervisor of the Checklist, 1 for 1 year; Treasurer, 1 for 1 year; Trustee of the Trust Funds, 1 for 2 years, 1 for 3 years; and Zoning Board of Adjustment, 2 for 2 years, 1 for 3 years.
