ROCHESTER - The Jive Kats will cut the rug with grooving, classic rock covers at the Governor's Inn on Saturday.

The Kats hail from all over New Hampshire, playing clubs across the Granite State year 'round.

On Sunday, August 14 the swinging, raucous eight-piece band 'The Soggy Po' Boys' takes the stage for the last Sunday concert at The Governor's Inn. Performing an unforgettable experience of traditional New Orleans jazz, this amazing band is also known for its lively blend of spirituals, contemporary music, and swing tunes.

Led by guitarist and lead vocalist Stu Dias, Soggy Po' Boys consists of Eric Klaxton (saxophone), Colin Mainella (trumpet), Zach Lange (trumpet), Nick Mainella (saxophone), Mike Effenberger (piano), Brett Gallo (drums) and Claude Fried (sousaphone). The band's Big Easy influence helped them cultivate a musical style of their own. Their hefty big brass sound and Stu Dias' vocals have crafted a new niche of swinging throughout New Hampshire.

The Po' Boys recently wrapped up a string of performances in the Northeast. They also completed their new album 'No Worse for Wear' featuring 10-tracks. The album reflects the bands' diversity and genre-spanning including pulsing brass band songs, slow, sultry, tangoes, upbeat, percussion-heavy funk, and dreamy, melancholy ballads.

The Sunday concert will also feature a weekly local farmers and artisans market that happens in the adjacent garden, simultaneous with the concert from 4-7 p.m. Vendors are now offering real tomatoes, cukes and fresh berries along with pottery, paintings and homemade jewelry and more.
