SOMERSWORTH - Somersworth police say a juvenile female was taken into custody after she tried to rob a Somersworth market on Wednesday.

Police first responded to Hardees Market at 303 Main St. for a reported armed robbery in progress.

It was reported that the female suspect was trying to rob the store and had a sharp-edged object.

When offices arrived they saw the sharp object still in her hand.

The case will be prosecuted through the juvenile justice system, but police are still asking for anyone who may have knowledge of the situation or witnessed the incident to come forward.
