Spaulding Ave likely site for medical cannibis facility

ROCHESTER - A Spaulding Avenue building could soon be the site of a major state-sanctioned medical marijuana growing facility.

A meeting to discuss the possibility is set for next Tuesday at Rochester City Hall at 7 p.m.

The Department of Health and Human Services settled on three different groups to dispense medical marijuana at four Alternative Treatment Centers throughout the state.

Each group can also operate a secure indoor marijuana grow operation. Rochester's would be somewhere on Spaulding Avenue, which runs from Route 125 in Rochester to River Road in Lebanon.

The Rochester facility would provide medical marijuana to Carroll, Grafton and Coos counties.
