ROCHESTER - Superintendent Michael L. Hopkins and Spaulding High School Principal Justin Roy announced that more than 80 seniors were recognized for their accomplishments with scholarships that will help them achieve their post-secondary educational goals.
The awards ceremony took place at SHS on Wednesday, May 24, and graduating seniors were granted over $170,000 in scholarships named in honor of Rochester educators, civic figures, Spaulding alumni groups and sponsor organizations.
"We're proud to award so many of our graduating seniors with scholarships that will enable them to continue their education after leaving SHS," Principal Roy said. "We're grateful to the many sponsors for their tremendous support and generosity, which has been hugely beneficial to the Class of 2017 scholarship recipients."
