State's death rate drops to 1.5%; current hospitalizations below century mark

CONCORD - DHHS announced 337 new positive test results for COVID-19, for a current PCR test positivity rate of 2.1 percent.

The newly identified cases included 64 minors and 39 from Strafford County.

Current case numbers show continuing declines overall with 37 in Rochester, 42 in Dover, 37 in Somersworth, 23 in Barrington, nine in Strafford, five in Farmington and 1-4 in Milton.

DHHS has also announced four additional deaths related to COVID-19, including one from Strafford County, all over 60.

Meanwhile, the overall New Hampshire death rate from the virus as a percentage of total cases is 1.5 percent.

State data, meanwhile, shows 2 percent. It will stay showing as 2 percent until the 1 percent metric is realized.

Current hospitalizations also continued downward, now at 95.
