ROCHESTER - Stella J. Levesque, 83, died peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Watson Fields in Dover, N.H., after a period of failing health.
Stella was born in Rochester, N.H. on August 9, 1932, the daughter of Hormidas and Helena (Gagnon) Roulx, and was a lifelong resident of Rochester.
She was happily married for 54 years to her late husband, Donald Levesque, with whom she had eight children, including twin boys who were awaiting her in heaven. She was predeceased by her only sibling, Bernard Roulx.
Stella was a devoted communicant of St. Leo's Church in Gonic, N.H. Prior to retirement, she thoroughly enjoyed her work as a sales clerk at J.C. Penny's. Stella was a member of St. Anne's Sodality. She also enjoyed bingo, cribbage, playing cards, cooking, and doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving members of the family include three sons, Paul Levesque and wife Laurie of Farmington, N.H., Daniel Levesque and wife Kathe of East Rochester, N.H., and Philip Levesque and wife Karen of California; and three daughters, Rachel Gilman and husband Doug of Rochester, N.H., Annette Horne and husband Jim of Rochester, N.H., and Amy Amirault and husband Paul of Lynn, Mass. She leaves 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stella's children would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. John Hopkins and the excellent staff of Watson Fields for their outstanding care of Mom in the final months of her life.
