MILTON - A fire investigator from the state said they have not yet been able to determine a cause for a Charles Street fire that destroyed a residence last month.

The fire at 79 Charles St. was reported around 9:15 p.m. on May 27.

Adam Fanjoy, the fire investigator working the case, said on Wednesday that the fire is still under investigation. He also said officials were trying to determine if the house was insured.

Much of the two and a half story wood frame house was destroyed in the blaze.

No residents or firefighters were reported injured in the fire.
