Surge continues yet just one new hospitalization, no new deaths

CONCORD - To understand the breadth of the current COVID surge one need only look at the DHHS statistics from a month ago when there were 52 new cases, 15 current hospitalizations and 342 current cases in state. Today those corresponding numbers are 133 new cases, 38 current hospitalizations and a total of 1,352 current cases in New Hampshire. The newly identified cases include 21 minors and 19 from Strafford County. Only one new hospitalized case was reported for a current total of 38, down four from Saturday. Local current case numbers show Rochester at 23, Dover at 33, Somersworth and Barrington at nine apiece, Farmington at five, Milton at 1-4 and Strafford at none.
