MILTON - Susan B. McKenney, 68, died peacefully on July 12, 2020, at home in Milton where she resided most of her adult life. The daughter of Marvin and Rita (Morin) Rix, Susan was born on Oct. 7, 1951, in York, Maine. She was proud to earn her GED at the age of 58 through Dover Adult Learning Center and to participate in the Graduation Ceremony in Cap and Gown.
Susan was very hard working and held many jobs throughout her life. Most recent and loved was working for the Milton School system as a custodian. She enjoyed working with faculty, staff and especially the children. She aspired to work as a Para-Professional in the Special Education Department.
Susan was a loyal companion, devoted Mother and Grandmother to her 4 children and 8 grandchildren. She was a strong, independent woman with a work ethic that was second to none. Susie adored her family and friends with all of her heart. She had a passion for music, dancing, woodworking, annual camping vacations and road trips with her spouse, family and friends. She enjoyed nature, puzzles, reading and her once monthly, Sunday afternoons of Pokeno with her girlfriends. Susan wholeheartedly embraced her faith in God.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Keith Jackson of 41 years and their 17-year-old fur baby; "Lucky" kitty; her sisters, Teresa Palmer and her husband Randy, Shirley Gurwala and her husband Mohamad; her brothers, William Rix and his wife Gwendolyn, David Rix; her daughters, Charity Pouliot, Stephanie Wingard and her husband Thomas, Amy Jenner and her husband Derek; her son, Jason E. Morgan. Susan loved being a Grammie and Mimi to her grandchildren: Anthony Pouliot, Jordan Wallace, Nathan Pouliot, Madison Morgan, Avery Jenner, Olivia Callahan, Parker Morgan and Coralynne Wingard
She was predeceased by her father, mother and her best friend, Judy Vachon.
