©DOVER - The suspect in a domestic violence incident in Rochester last week remained at Strafford County Jail on Friday while awaiting his approval from Community Corrections to have his $10,000 cash bail converted to personal recognizance.
Michael W. Lovely, 33, of 239 Washington St., Rochester, refused to travel to Strafford County Superior Court on Thursday for his 1 p.m. arraignment but later agreed to waive arraignment.
Once he is approved for the conversion by Community Corrections, he will be fitted with a GPS monitor and released. He can also have no contact with the female victim and refrain from using firearms.
Lovely was picked up at a residence on Long Shore Drive in Barrington by U.S. Marshals on Wednesday after a weeklong manhunt.
The domestic violence incident unfolded a little before 3 p.m. on April 6 when Rochester Police responded to a residence at 239 Washington St. for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival they removed an adult female and children from the residence, and a SWAT team was deployed to the scene, however Lovely fled and wasn't captured till Wednesday.
The female victim was treated at Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as nonlife-threatening injuries. None of the children were hurt in the incident.
Lovely stands charged with second degree assault, simple assault, criminal mischief and criminal threatening, all Class B felonies that can draw up to a seven-year prison stay apiece.
