SANFORD, Maine - Sweet Memories is a breakfast and lunch restaurant located in downtown Sanford next to the police station.

We stopped in for some lunch after bowling at the Sanford Bowl a Rama and found its pastrami sandwich ($5.99) to be above average, it's sweet potato fries as crispy and crunchy as you'd want them and a bottom line that didn't break the bank.

However, the coffee was disappointingly weak.

While Martha had the pastrami sandwich, I had a cheeseburger (5.49) with regular fries and cole slaw, but they forgot the cole slaw.

The waitress was friendly enough but had a hard time getting thing's out on time. My granddaughter didn't get her juice till the meals came out. There was no milk or cream at our table, so I had to grab some from another.

Between drinks, food, tax and tip, it was just $30 for everyone to get full.

Sweet Memories is located at 937 Main St., Sanford, Maine.
