ROCHESTER - The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce celebrated its annual Operation Thank You on Thursday, hand delivering hundreds of this year's Business Referral Directory to businesses, nonprofits and individuals throughout Strafford County and Lebanon, Maine.

The deliveries were made by more than 50 volunteers who enjoyed a complimentary breakfast of bacon and eggs with home fries, fruit and coffee at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital Community and Education Center before fanning out to deliver the chamber message.

The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce's mission is to advance and promote the general welfare and prosperity of its members and to enhance the quality of life in the area, and Operation Thank You is the chamber's largest volunteer outreach program of the year.

Volunteers and chamber members followed up the day's activities with a Business After Hours at First Seacoast Bank, which delivered a host of specialty hot hors d'oeuvres, including scallops wrapped in bacon, baked cheese-stuffed mushrooms and a mac and cheese station that featured extras like bacon, mushrooms, chicken and other assorted toppings.

During the business mixer Chamber Board of Directors Chairman Anne Brown of Daystar, Inc. thanked volunteers for their hard work.

First Seacoast Bank President President and CEO James Brannen said his bank was proud to host the Business After Hours and also thanked the volunteers for their effort during the day.
