ROCHESTER - The Deerfield teenager injured Wednesday morning when police say he rear-ended a stopped box truck near the Rochester Crossing was released later the same day, a Portsmouth Regional Hospital spokesperson said today.

Lynn Robbins couldn't discuss the injuries sustained by Cameron Clarke, 18, due to privacy laws but did say the hospital was happy that he was able to be released so soon.

The crash occurred around 8:20 a.m. when a 2017 T370 refrigeration truck, driven by Jonathan Yeo, 42, of Franklin, was traveling westbound on Washington Street and was stopped at the traffic lights when it got rear-ended by the Hyundai.

Rochester Fire had to use their extraction tool to free Clarke, who was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with what had been described as serious, but nonlife threatening injuries.
