Temporary water shutoff for far end of Old Dover Rd. set for Thursday

ROCHESTER - The City of Rochester is notifying customers of the Consecutive Water System (PWSID 2001030) along Old Dover Road between Alexandra Lane and the Somersworth town line that public water will be shut off on Thursday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. for emergency repairs.

Contractors will be replacing a section of supply pipeline in Somersworth. The neighborhoods of Constitution Way and Amazon Campground will also be affected.

The city's water department recommends customers draw and store water for use during the outage. Water may be cloudy or discolored for a short period after the repairs are complete.

The northbound lane of Old Dover Road will also be closed to traffic.
