LEBANON - Theodore A. Frederick, 82, of Lebanon, formerly of Saugus, Mass., and Groveland, Mass., died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his family, after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Betty (Field) Frederick, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.
Born in Saugus, Mass., he was the son of Awald and Wilhelmina (Stahl) Frederick. He attended Saugus Schools and graduated from Saugus High School, Class of 1951. He attended Upsala College in East Orange, N.J. He served in the Army as a Corporal during the Korean War.
Ted was employed as a carpenter for Johnson and Magnuson until 1972, and was then self-employed until he retired in 1987, and moved to Lebanon from Plum Island. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the Society for the Prevention of Old Mills, Georgetown Lodge A. F. & A. M., and the Maine Obsolete Auto League (MOAL).
He was an antique car enthusiast, and entered many antique cars shows, and received several trophies.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four daughters; Betty and her husband Brad Johnson of Newbury, Mass., Pamela and her husband Rob Hager of Newbury, Mass., Linda and her husband Mark Barbacano of Bedford, Mass., Carol Robinson and her fiancée Dan Petrone of Port Charlotte, Fla.; one sister Hank Visconte of Dover, N.H.; eight grandchildren Jennifer, Stacey, Brian, Michael, Chadd, Corey, Codey, and Carey; seven great-grandchildren Mallory, Carter, Royce, Easton, Thatcher, Sylvie, and Sage; and many nieces and nephews. He was also grandfather of the late Colin Robinson, and brother of the late John Frederick, and Marie Small.
