ROCHESTER -- William Allen School held its ninth annual geography bee on Wednesday.

Students competed in three age categories: kindergarten and first grade, second and third grades, and fourth and fifth grades.

Students placed as follows.

Kindergarten/first grade: Aryaa Ghimire, first; Asher Paquette, second; Lily Montgomery, third

Second/third grade: Sienna Gibson, first; Alexander Maclean, second; Connor Hogan, third

Fourth/fifth grade: Aalekha Rai, first; Scarlett Liu, second; Alexis Tibbetts, third

This year's geography bee was hosted by Superintendent Mike Hopkins, Assistant Superintendent Kyle Repucci and Rochester Police Officer Brandon Kimbrough.
