EAST ROCHESTER - Thomas E. Leighton, 71, died at Frisbie Memorial Hospital on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, due to complications following bone cancer.
Thomas was born in Boston on Sept. 19, 1943, the son of George and Rita (Cowley) Leighton and has lived in New Hampshire since 1968. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Marjorie A (Corcoran) Leighton also of Boston. He is survived by his sons, Thomas C. Leighton of Farmington, N.H., Edward M. Leighton of Sanford, Maine and a daughter Angela A. Leighton of Boston, daughter-in-law, Darlene Leighton grandchildren, Kara Provencher, Tom Leighton, George Leighton, and Michael Leighton, great- grandchildren, Jaxson, Bently, and Brighton, his sisters, Nancy Wyman of Lebanon, Maine, Beverly Godfry of Mass. and Patsy Crawly of N.J., nieces, Mary Anne, Denise and Desiree and his cat Fluffy.
