Three youngsters hurt in crosswalk accident

ROCHESTER - Three young people were injured on Saturday night when they were struck while crossing the street in a crosswalk on North Main Street.

Police responded to the scene near Maple Street around 9:15 p.m. and learned that a 2005 Ford Taurus driven by Suzanne Hughes, 53, of Barrington was traveling north when she hit the juveniles, none of whom were said to be seriously injured.

They were transported to Frisbie for minor injuries, police said.

No charges were filed as the incident is still under investigation.
