BERWICK, Maine - Tony H. Gunter, "Grampa", unexpectedly left this world on Dec.24, 2021, at age 67. Tony was born January 11, 1954, to Bob and Bobbie (Ensley) Gunter in Asheville, North Carolina.

Tony was an amazing husband, always saying, "Yes Dear" to his wife, Sandra Chadbourne-Gunter, that he secretly loved to spoil. He put up with his 3 kids, Skye Gunter, Kenneth Chadbourne and Nicole Penfield, loving each of us equally and secretly making us all feel like his favorite.

Tony enjoyed music, concerts, road trips, and most of all he absolutely loved being a grandfather. His grandchildren, Hailey Chadbourne, Cole Penfield, Brooklyn Chadbourne, Brantley Chadbourne, and Brody Chadbourne will miss their crazy Grampa dearly. Though his 4th grandson will never get the chance to meet his crazy Grampa, he will know and love him through all the stories we have yet to tell him.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Bobbie Gunter and his brother, Terry Gunter. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sandra Chadbourne-Gunter of Berwick; daughters, Skye Gunter of Thomaston and Nicole Penfield of Berwick; son, Kenneth Chadbourne and his wife Kristen of Gulfport, Fla.; brother, Mike Gunter; sister, Glenda (Miller) Gunter; 5 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
