ROCHESTER - A local transient was arrested on Saturday in Friday's Northeast Credit Union robbery.
Eric Rouleau, 36, was charged with felony robbery, a Class B level crime punishable by up to seven years in prison.
Police say he walked into the Charles Street bank Friday afternoon and handed a teller a note demanding money before leaving on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. He never mentioned or indicated he had a weapon, police say.
Rouleau was located at 208 Black Water Road in Rochester after an extensive search. He was out on probation at the time of the incident for an earlier robbery and was being monitored by New Hampshire Probation and Parole.
Rouleau refused bail and was transported to Strafford County Jail pending an arraignment on Monday at Strafford County Superior Court.
