MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Manchester man who walked away from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit on Lowell Street on Saturday is back in prison.
Andrew Ramirez, 24, was arrested in Bedford Sunday night and is being returned to the New Hampshire State Prison in Concord today.
Officials say Ramirez was given permission to attend an outing and was ordered to return at 11 p.m. on Saturday, but never showed up.
He was sentenced in Hillsborough County Superior Court in Manchester to 1½ to 3 years in prison for criminal threatening. Ramirez had 57 days of time served credited to his sentence, and had been eligible for parole on Jan. 23.
A walkaway is considered an escape, a Class B Felony punishable by up to 3½ -7 years in prison.
On Wednesday, William Clayton Roy also walked away from the housing unit. He is still at large.
