ROCHESTER - Two motorists were injured this morning when one vehicle rear-ended another on Route 125 near the Barrington town line.

Police say the crash occurred around 8 in the area of Just Oil when a 2015 Lexus, driven by Michelle Lattime, 52, of Kingston, had stopped in the northbound lane to stop for a bus turning onto Jonathan Avenue when he was rearended by a 1999 Toyota Rav4 driven by Ronald Belanger, 31, of Manchester.

Belanger had to be extricated from his vehicle. Both drivers were taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries. Due to the extensive damage to both vehicles, both were towed from the scene.

Traffic was diverted for a brief period while emergency personnel tended to the patients and cleared the debris.

As a result of the investigation, Belanger was issued a summons for following too closely.
