DOVER - Two D'Amours Avenue men have been indicted in separate aggravated felonious sexual assault cases that could land them in state prison for a long time.

Shane A. Franceschini, 31, and David Z. Lawrence, 22, who live at separate addresses in the same Gonic neighborhood, face up to life and up to 20 years in state prison, respectively.

Franceschini was formally charged with four counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault on two separate children under the age of 13 in 2016 and 2018. According to the indictment, he touched the children's genitals "directly, through clothing or otherwise."

Lawrence, meanwhile, is charged with one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault for allegedly having the victim, who was less than 13, perform a sex act on him.

The Strafford County grand jury indictments were handed down on Jan. 17 and released on Wednesday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
