ROCHESTER - Weather and road conditions are being blamed in a Crown Point Road crash that injured two on Wednesday morning.

Rochester Police got the call a little after 9 a.m. and arrived in the area of 153 Crown Point Road to find a single-car accident with the vehicle off the road.

Police say Sara Watson, 53, of Rochester was traveling westbound in a 2001 Saturn when she lost control of the vehicle and over corrected. The vehicle then crossed the eastbound lane, went off the road and struck a brick wall.

A passenger in the car was extricated by Rochester Fire personnel when their door would not open upon impact.

Watson and her passenger were both transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital with what were described as minor injuries.

The vehicle suffered extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.

There was no air bag deployment and neither occupant was wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.

Weather and road conditions were seen as a contributing factor.

Crown Point Road was shut down temporarily during the extrication and while the wrecker removed the vehicle.
