ROCHESTER - The city's Community Center on Wakefield Street will remain closed this weekend as a safety precaution while the snow load is removed, according to an announcement late Friday afternoon from the City of Rochester.

City manager Daniel Fitzpatrick told The Lebanon Voice that structural experts had determined the building was not safe for occupancy based on several signs, leading to the closure on Thursday.

Fitzpatrick had hoped to have the building open sooner, but based on an abundance of caution, it will remain closed till Monday.
