LEBANON - A Lebanon teenager was slightly injured in a New Year's Eve accident on Shapleigh Road.

The crash occurred around 10 p.m. in the area of 464 Shapleigh Road when a 16-year-old female motorist from Lebanon saw her vehicle slide off the ice-covered roadway and into a tree.

The vehicle sustained a cracked windshield and a damaged A pillar on the driver's side, said Maine State Police Trooper Conner Walton today.

Walton said the teen suffered a cut hand, but was otherwise OK.
